Project details

Scenes and Dreams are series of EPs that I hope to release over the coming year. They are descriptive instrumental pieces that invoke a situation or mood. To achieve this I am using a mix of standard instrumentation and electronics.

SCENES AND DREAMS ONE

ORBIT  Moving silently through the void. In the darkness below only the clusters of lights of the major cities are visible. We begin to see the light of the sun which slowly illuminates the surface of the Earth, revealing its beauty and majesty.

WINTER ON THE MOUNTAIN  Lost in a desolate landscape. An incessant wind resonates through the trees and disturbs the surface of the snow, forming brief clouds of misty snow that blocks the bright light of the sun.

NIGHT TRAIN  Speeding steadily through the night, nothing is visible save the reflection of the carriage against the darkness outside, only broken by the lights of distant cities, a fleeting view of a station, or when the moon emerges from behind the clouds, a landscape lost to the night.

BIRDS RISE AND DEPART  The evening calm of the lake is first disturbed as a few birds rise from the surface and into the air. This seems to trigger a great wave as the rest of the flock take flight also. Forming a dark cloud, they circle the lake before disappearing into the distance against the setting sun.
